Fabrication Detailing

Our team of steel detailers are available to undertake full fabrication standard drawings. Using TEKLA and Solidworks software GGP undertakes steel detailing work that steel erectors, fabricators and quantity surveyors can use to carry out their works. Whether it is new structures, or alterations to existing buildings we provide all the relevant drawings and additional output.

Our detailers produce drawings for Parts, Assemblies, General Arrangements, as well as bolt lists, Bill of Materials, NC files, and IFC models for BIM integration.

As well as traditional beam and column framed structures GGP also produce fabrication packs for Silos, Hoppers, Chimneys and all manner of plated assemblies.

If the structure is existing GGP can attend site with one of our Faro or Trimble Pointcloud scanners in order to undertake a full 3D point cloud scan. This scan then forms the basis of the existing geometry to recreate in a virtual 3D environment, allowing new or altered steel to be detailed to a precise degree in relation to existing.

Close coordination between clients, fabricators, contractors, and the design team enable us to produce a detailing product that is second to none.
