GGP Consult has grown to establish a reputation for economic, practical and innovative designs. In addition to continued support of contractors nationally, our client base is now worldwide and covers all sizes of customers from PLCs to private individuals.
We have considerable experience in all construction sectors, with particular expertise in bulk storage and handling, rail, gas distribution, industrial/power and commercial development.

GGP Consult’s dedicated architectural department was established in 2005 to assist with the increased demand for architectural services from our existing client base. Since the introduction of this department we have gained experience within the hotel and leisure, education, healthcare, industrial, local authority, commercial and residential sectors with a number of varied projects locally and throughout the UK and Ireland. Our architectural department has now become a key service within our core business.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) using 3D laser scanning produces a data-rich, digital model of a physical building. This enables the design team to design the building the construction team to model the construction of the building, and the building owner to manage the facility throughout its life.
We view BIM as a powerful collaborative process, engaging with clients, engineers, architects and end users to engender open and productive working relationships. This ultimately translates into delivering an asset that exceeds the Clients expectations, in terms of, on time and on budget delivery, efficiency and life cycle management.
We have consistently worked within both a BIM Level 1 and BIM Level 2 environment and as a result have a good understanding of the requirements for a successful BIM Level 2 design delivery. We appreciate and embrace the fact that BIM is about information management as much as information modelling.
We are committed to developing the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) to Level 2 standards as defined by PAS 1192-2:2013 on future projects where required by our clients. To enable this GGP Consult have a series of documents, in addition to the core British Standards and government guidelines, designed to ensure we are able to deliver a BIM Level 2 project.
3D Laser Scanning is a non-contact, non-destructive, highly accurate surveying technique that digitally captures the shape of physical objects. Utilising highly specialised scanning devices, rotating optical lasers record up to a million measurements per second, in full 360 degree fields of view, extending in excess of 300m from the scanning location.
The technique allows the user to digitally capture everything from large scale infrastructure to very small complex industrial components. Utilising powerful software scan data is compiled in the form of a digital point cloud, where the millions of scanned measurements form a fully interactive 3D model.
Detailed Building Surveys measured with disto laser measuring devices to enable the delivery of either 2D floor plans, sections and elevations or a 3D model which can be used to deliver proposed BIM level 2 information as well as plans, sections and elevations along with 3D images of existing and proposed schemes.
