Project Overview

GGP Consult have provided Civil, Marine and Structural services to Excelerate Energy on a number of offshore LNG regassification projects, worldwide.

Services include Desk/Select Study, Pre-FEED, FEED, Long Lead Item (LLI) Procurement and Detailed Design.

GGP are continuously involved with the progression of a number of offshore facilities, for any given Offshore Gasport project, the following deliverables are generally within our scope of works;

Seismic Hazard Assessments, Seismic Analysis, Geotechnical Assessments, Foundation Design, Mooring analysis, Vendor and Equipment Specifications, Equipment Layout, Tender Drawings, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Liaison, Structural Feasibility Studies, In-place Analysis, Tonnage Estimates, Fabrication Tender Specification and Installation Tender Specification.

The offshore projects have used a number of structural solutions including pile and cap, jacket and topside, monopile and tri/quad pile structures to suit the water depth, geotechnical and seismic parameters. The Marine team have developed a fast-track assessment criteria driven by experience and lessons learned.

The team's knowledge of vessel data, mooring and process equipment parameters and offshore analysis experience can be readily applied to new offshore projects.

Complications which have been successfully addressed within the Offshore Gasports proiects include designing for seismic Class-F soils, liquefaction, calcareous sands, high sea state and vessel hull fatigue.
